Padgett is pleased to announce the addition of Mathu Vinayagam, CPA, CMA, to our group. She will be working in Markham, Ontario office. Mathu received her BA from York University, and is both a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Management Accountant. She has completed the non-profit-certificate programs with CPA Ontario for Business Taxation Issues and Planning, Financial Modeling, and Quick Book ProAdvisor.

Mathu has a distinguished work history that includes 15 years of direct work in the accounting and finance industries. Mathu has had an extensive career working as a Senior Investment Analyst (10 years), a Senior Accountant (5 years), a freelance Bookkeeper Accountant (5 years), and as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Markham Arts Council (4 years). She has worked with small businesses and larger corporations and has a high level of experience as a successful entrepreneur and community leader. Mathu understands the challenges and needs of businesses of every size and works with organizations of all sizes to help them manage their financial futures to create wealth that will fund their business for many years to come.

Additionally, Mathu is a Founder and Artistic Director of SAAT. SAAT is a registered non -profit organization that helps young people develop their talents in the visual and performing arts. She is also an accomplished artist with a high level of expertise in participating with vocal productions, playing the violin, and visual arts dance performances in her community. She has achieved the award of Volunteer of the Year from the Markham Arts Council.

Mathu has worked extensively with the Markham Artistic community through Markham Arts Council. She has collaborated with the City of Markham, Unionville & Mainstreet Markham BIA, Aaniin Community Center, Markham at the Movies and arts and cultural heritage festivals.
